Windows SteadyState On Windows 10? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just upgraded all the computers in our library and when we upgraded all the computers and installed Win 10 realized there's no SteadyState anymore. So I did some searches online and all I see are 3rd party products touting themselves as SteadyState alternatives. I see there's one called Steadier State and Reboot Restore Rx.

So I'm curious if there's Steady State on Win 10 and I'm just missing it or if either of these alternatives would be a suitable replacement. I'd like to stick with SteadyState ideally.

  • Microsoft decommitted SteadyState with the advent of Windows 7.  Microsoft claims that Group Policy is the answer to all your SteadyState concerns.  Some of the links on Microsoft's web pages about SteadyState no longer work correctly.
