Out of Office Calander not working Project server 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Out of office calander is not working on Project 2013 with exchange 2013. I followed technet article

I am confused that there is no place in the setting to see which server it is talking to. All project server currently is doing is sending email through SMTP gateway. There is no place where i have configured Exchange 2013 in Project server. So is that click in the central admin is the only thing to configure for this?

Time periods sheet has also been configured. The job fails with error:

  • Project Server will pick up your server automatically, you don't need to specify anywhere.

Download EWSManagedAPI.msi from the Microsoft Download Center (

    msiexec /i EwsManagedApi.msi addlocal="ExchangeWebServicesApi_Feature,ExchangeWebServicesApi_Gac"

    .\Configure-EnterprisePartnerApplication.ps1 -ApplicationType Sharepoint -AuthMetadataUrl https://<SP_FQDN>/_layouts/15/metadata/json/1

Exchange Server calendar OOF integration with Project Server 2013

Configure Exchange task synchronization in SharePoint Server 2013

  • Thank you. Already working on it. I will update once exchange admin runs the command and see where it goes

  • The exchange admin ran the command. But still it is not working. The errors i see in logs are:

No subscriptions opted into Exchange Sync found, so skipping update

PWA:https:S, ServiceApp:Project Server Service Application, User:PROJECTSERVER\system, PSI: Exchange Sync is enabled, enqueueing a calendar out of office sync job., LogLevelManager Warning-ulsID:0x000217CA has no entities explicitly specified.

Do i need to run this command on 2013 too? It says it is only for 2010 .

    Add-ADPermission -Identity (get-exchangeserver).DistinguishedName -User (Get-User -Identity <AppPoolAccount>| select-object).identity -extendedRights ms-Exch-EPI-Impersonation

  • Are there any updates on this?  I keep getting the following Queue Error on PWA and the ULS Entry below.  When I look for any of the uid GUIDS in the database there are no records found. How do you know what the issue is if the logs have no usable info?

    GeneralInvalidOperation (20011). Details: id='20011' name='GeneralInvalidOperation' uid='a_guid_#1'.

This is a general error logged by the Project Server Queue everytime a job fails - for effective troubleshooting use this error message with other more specific error messages (if any), the Operations guide (which documents more details about queued jobs) and the trace log (which could provide more detailed context).
