Hi all,
We have a DPM 2010 server which protects several servers. A few in its own domain and a few in an untrusted domain.
We have an Exhange 2010 server in the untrusted domain. After about 3 weeks it stopped working (or not?). When I look at the DPM console, it says the DPM agent is unreachable on the exchange server. The rest of the untrusted domain members agents are OK.
If I hit "refresh information" it hangs a while the it says "Error" under the status column. The protection group is creating a recovery point on the mailbox database in every 2 hours and the job is successful every time...
So if the DPM cannot reach the agent on the Exchange server, how can it create the recovery points? On the Exchange server I checked the event log and I found an error message:
| The DPMRA service terminated unexpectedly.
It has done this 13 time(s). |
I was able to start/stop/restart the DPMRA service, but it didn't help.
Do you have any suggestions?

I also notice a new error message on the protected server. Here it is.
EventId: 10010
The server {DA6AA17A-D61C-4E9C-8CEA-DB25DEA52A95} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.
