My biggest problem with Vista is the search. -- it is the pits. Is Windows 7 going to fix the search problem? If not, I don't want to know anymore about it.

Want a way to find things instantly? There's a program you can get from the web called "Search Everything" which is free and has no adware. It usualy finds whatever you type in a split second. Occasionally it won't find a file that the system search would so this is good to use in addition but not as a replacment for windows search.
In vista i can make a shortcut to search put it on the desktop open it and customize my search but now with 7 if I use the same shortcut it gives my a large window with only a text entry box and nothing for me to configure - overly simplified.

Hi Bob
The search component has changed in Windows 7. It is much more powerful and intuitive.
However, it does operated differently from what you are used to in Vista.
