Install Spell Checker in Internet Explorer 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I want to install a spell checker in my IE browser such that it supports spell check in text fields.

I tried installing 'Speckie' but it gave me server error as 'could not be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2'.

Please suggest me some other spell checker.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

you did not mention which IE version you are using.

In IE11 the spell checking dictionaries are installed with the OS and are chosen from the Language control panel or by right clicking in a text field on a web page.

In Earlier IE versions the Tools>Manage Addons tool is where you manage and install your spell checker dictionaries.

You will need to be logged in as an Administrator on Server 2008 to install any IE Addons or spell checker dictionaries.
