KB968389 - AFTER UPDATE SERVER CANNOT SEE ITSELF LOCALLY "No network provider accepted the given network path" Causing Chaos! RRS feed

    Hi
    Since our server updated last night with KB968389 it has been unable to access files stored on itself via the network that it controls!
    There is no uninstaller for this update and our server runs a program where it needs to search in its own drives via it's own CNAME/
    The only factor which has changed from when it was to when it wasnt working is that microsoft update claims to have installed KB968389

    Please please help!

    Hi Simonyoung 1984,
        I don't know this related to Network Access Protection. If you read the  KB article @ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968389 it is mentioned that you need to add registry keys to enable the patch feature. Did you do the registry changes after installing the patch ?
       Which OS you are running ? Make sure you all the latest patches applied on the system from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
