I am currently working in Sharepoint and when I try to open an Excel document in Excel, nothing happens. I can open the document online and can download it, but cannot open it in the application. I have no problem opening a Word document using
the Word application. Can you tell me how to fix this?
Thank you for the reply, but I don't get an error message. I believe the problem happened the first time Word was opened. There was a message regarding a launcher and either open in Word or do nothing. Nothing was selected and now the document
will not open in Word only in Word Online. I went to Site Settings and activated the option "open documents in client applications by default" in the site collection features. The word document still does not open.
