Ripping in Window Media Player 12

    Question

  • I've tried to rip a cd.  I can type in the title and artist, even though the "Contributing Artist" column is grey.  When I copy the CD I only get the track number and the name of the song, not the artist.  I've tried unticking and reticking the box and even moving the column to a different position, with no effect.  What I need to do is ungrey the column, I think.  What can I do

  • Hi,

Please try to take following steps to see if it could find the CD information.

    1. Import songs into your library from CD.

    2. Right click the album artwork graphic and click Find album info.

    3. When the 'Find album information' window pops up, choose the best match from the list and click Next, and then verify that the list is correct and click Finish.
