  • Hi,

    the presence information will be rendered by the browser. The responsible activex installed in the browser is the so call name.dll. You will find the documentation for this in the msdn: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms455335.aspx

    The code that will be rendered in a list view looks like this:

    <SPAN class=ms-imnSpan>
    <IMG id=imn_1,type=smtp class=ms-imnImg title="" border=0 name=imnmark alt="No presence information" src="/_layouts/images/blank.gif" <br/>width=12 height=12 <strong>sip="stefan.bauer@example.com"</strong>>
    <A onclick="GoToLink(this);return false;" href="/_layouts/userdisp.aspx?ID=1">Bauer Stefan</A>
    </SPAN>

    The most important information is on the image and the sip attribute on the image. This will be used to resolve the online presence on your client using the name.dll.

    When you try to embed this stuff into a content query web part then you need to have the users email address.

    Hope this helps
    Kind regards Stefan.
