Lync working using Adfs & single sign on. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We have configured ADFS in our environment & it's working fine currently.

We are having office 365 accounts so we are using outlook through - portal.microsoftonline.com

but wanted to deploy Lync 2013 on each system locally.

How does Lync works with ADFS. if the user logs on to a machine will the lync gets automatically logged on ??

    Please suggest.

    Thanks,

    Pranay.

  • ADFS is not supported for Lync Server on premises.

If you want to deploy Lync Server in a multiple forest environment, you can check

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg670909(v=ocs.14).aspx

ADFS is required in a Lync hybrid deployment.
