  • Question

  • Hi,

I have http://mysite.com top level site with all standard groups (owners, members, visitors) + 1more group (NAMED-wiki read only) with read access

    Also i created http://mysite.com/wiki

When i remove wiki read only group permissions from top level website, it also removes its permission for /wiki site (altohough i removed inherti and allowed group read access).

When i check group properties it has read access to http://mysite.com/wiki but i cant really access it.

Goals is to have one group which will be able to view only wiki site. not the top level one.

    Any hints?

    Kind regards, Dusan Tomic

  • Hi,

Go to Site permission on top level site and check for the group for which you want to restrictsite Top level site access

    If its there remove it

Now go to Wiki Site > Site permission

Add that perticular group on Wiki site only with Read permission

As you have mentioned you have already broken inheritance it will not reflcet on parent (Top level) site.
