Intermittent blue screens no logs RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I recently built a new pc and I am running windows 7 64bit on it. Everything is fine except, occasionally I get a blue screen of death!

When I checked I could not find a minidump file to get further details.

I haven't found any correlation to the screens appearing some times it happens twice in a day then it may not happen for a couple of weeks. and until today it hadn't happened for a month.

    system spec:

    Processor: Intel i5-2500 @ 3.30Ghz 3.60GHZ

    Ram: 8GB corsair DDR3

    Graphics: Nvidia GTX 460

    MB: Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4

    HDD: 1TB Samsung HD103SJ (ATA)

    DVD: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223C (ATA)

    Permanently connected USB devices:

    Alesis io|2 external Audio interface

    M-Audio oxygen 61 Midi controller

    Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard

    TP-link TL-WN821N 300MBPS wireless N Adapter

As far as I can see everything has the latest drivers installed I updated them after installing and I've only had the computer for 6 weeks.

the last time it happened I was watching this video: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/extra-credits/2868-True-Female-Characters in Google chrome. the only other programs running (not including standard windows 7 components) were AVG, Citrix, Spybot, Nvidia (the nvidia software and drivers that is always on in the BG)

Should I be concerned if the Blue screen's are so infrequent?,

    What should I check?,

Do I need to activate something in windows for it to give me the log output?
