Windows 7 unable to boot properly & screen out of resolution with vertical pixel-like patterns throughout RRS feed

  • Question

  • My pc is an HP dv9035nr dual core centrino & dual hdd. I was running Win XP MCE on c: & Win 7 Pro on d: as dual boot, the former being the original. I had installed Win 7 about a month & change before the problem. When it started happening I scanned pc with anti-virus utilities from UBCD4XP & came up clean, after trying to repair both OSs I decided to backup user data, formatted d: & repaired WinXP but somehow I still got the same Win7 OS selection screen and WinXP still wouldn't boot. Finally I did a Win7 clean install on c: after which it booted properly once, the next time it boots but with wrong resolution again. The vertical pixel-like lines pattern throughout the screen never has been fixed in any of these attempts.

Can someone help? I'm out of options. I appreciate your time.
