Windows 7 Blue Screen of Death - Acer AM7720-E7810A - Error: STOP: 0x00000116 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey All

So I've had my computer for about 3 years now.  I have had no issues on it at all and it has been incredibly reliable!

I go to university and came home for the week, I brought my comptuer home since I have an assignment I needed to program.  When I got it home I was playing a game, procrastinating at its finest, World of Warcraft.  The screen suddenly froze and sure enough, the screen no one wants to see popped up. (Blue Screen...)

I have looked inside of my computer to ensure that nothing was loose from the journey home although it seems fine.

Since it's a fairly old video card and that I last updated it a few months ago I figured there aren't any new drivers for it and it's been working fine since it's last driver updates.

Any guesses or information on the issue would be much appreciated!

    Thanks again,

    Cheers,

    Jake

  • Hi,

BSOD(0x00000116) may be related to the components of Video Card’s driver. As you mentioned the Video Card has been updated, I suspect the compatibility is the root cause. If it is possible, please try to downgrade Video Card driver for a test.

If the issue occurs again, please try to contact to manufacturers.
