Remove Database association with SharePoint Search Service Application RRS feed

  • Question

  • In Central Admin, at the "The SharePoint Health Analyzer has detected some critical issues that require your attention" Ribbon Warning:

Under the "Configuration" category, I see the following warning:

"Databases running in compatibility range, upgrade recommended. "

The warning item shows 2 databases, that I don't see associated to the only existing search service application. The search service application shows other databases (not showing in the warning above) associated to the Search Service Application DB, Search Service Application CrawlStore DB and the search service application property store db. My guess is that at some point when I had to rebuild the search service application ages ago, those two databases became orphans.

Is there a way to 1)find out (confirm) if these databases are still associated to the search service application? and 2)if they are, how to break the association and 3)finally, remove them?

    Thank you.
