MIM 2016 SP1 does not support file MA special characfers

    Question

  • I have a file ma in MIM 2016 sp1 and cant find a way to preserve special characters

    Any idea?

  • Do you mean characters like "!@#$%^&*" in attribute values?

  • I mean anything from accent mark to Chinese Chars.

    There is no UTF-8 Encoding anymore available.

  • Which Managent Agent type do you use? Delimeted Text file, Extensible Connectivity MAs allow to configure UTF-8 encoding. I use them with different symbols ok.

    This is interesting. I have the same MIM version, latest patch in fact. Is there something OS Related? This is OS 2016 hosted in Azure.

    Screenshot is from Windows Server 2012 R2 on prem. But that shouldn't make any difference.

    What encodings are in your list?
