WIN 7 -Program/game not responding or hang up where is "Control alt Delete" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm a gamer and I love win 7. I have been getting a few lock up's in an online game with no way to shut down app. Is there a way to close a running program. As like the control , alt delete.... ?? should be some thing. its not a 64 bit app, and I'm online when it hangs up. Do I need to set up a hot-key?

  • If Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work, try Ctrl-Shift-Esc, which should pop up the Task Manager directly.

  • Control-Alt-Delete should work.  If it doesn't, you are really hung.  You could try changing the Data Execution Prevention settings, under Performance in Advanced System Settings.  But then your application might not run.
