Programmatically authenticate through UAG to display a SharePoint Word document RRS feed

  • This is the error we are getting when trying to programmatically login in through the UAG and have a SharePoint Word document display on the user's workstation.  The set up is PC -> F5 load balancer -> UAG SharePoint trunk -> Front end and using Firefox as the browser to connect:

    "A request from source IP address x.x.x.x, user on trunk sharepointtrunk; Secure=1 for application Internal Site of type InternalSite failed because the method used HEAD is not valid for requested URL /InternalSite/InitParams.aspx?referrer=/InternalSite/InternalError.asp&site%5Fname=sharepointtrunk&secure=1&error%5Fcode=22&policy%5Fid=&ErrorType=HTMLErrorPage."

  • As per the event you are receiving , it looks like HEAD Method is not allowed and hence the failure [ usually a rule violation]. Here are the error codes you can refer:
