ProClarity Toolbar RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

We have created reports (using ProClarity 6.3) and deployed them on sharepoint. When the client try to access the same, the toolbar does not appear (but it appears in the server).

it says, Network Access Message: The page cannot be displayed.Technical Information (for support personnel)
Error Code 64: Host not available
Background: The gateway or proxy server lost connection to the Web server.

We have unblocked the pop-ups on the client machine.
    Any suggestions ??

    Regards,
    Kailash

  • Hi Kailash,

It sounds as if you may be running into an authentication issue.  Is your PAS on a different server than your SharePoint front end?  The fact that the views render successfully on the server indicate a "double-hop" issue where the user credentials logging in to the browser cannot be authenticated at some level of the process.  I would suggest checking IIS and security logs on the web server(s) to be sure that the user credentials are being picked up correctly there, then work your way back to your SQL Server, where you can check the security log as well and perhaps a SQL Profiler trace would be useful to see which user credentials are being authenticated against the database when you're attempting to load the ProClarity view on the client.  If it does appear to be the "double-hop" issue, it will be necessary to add some mechanism to deal with passing the user credentials between the IIS server and the SQL server, usually Kerberos.  Here is a link to a document published by one of our engineers that details how to set up and troubleshoot Kerberos issues from a ProClarity standpoint: http://blogs.technet.com/proclarity/archive/2008/12/22/proclarity-and-kerberos-delegation.aspx  This should give you a good point to start from.  Please let us know the outcome of your troubleshooting or if you have any questions after reviewing the related documentation.

    Hope this helps,

    Bob
