Removal of protenaly damageing programs RRS feed

  • There is a program i foolishly downloaded and now i am unable to remove it says i need admin privalges and i am the owner and such but i can't edits secrety help please.

  • So does it not show in Programs and Features? (start > Settings > Apps then Program and far right hand side). If it shows can it be removed from there?

    To manually remove you would need to take ownership of the file then give yourself rights (that would not clear everything).

    Try https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/ that searches memory and kills anything suspicious.

    Then try a malware scan with potientialy unwanted programs, https://www.malwarebytes.com/ try that (select free version towards the end of the install).

  • Seems to be a malware.

    Try to delete it in Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features at first. If it doesn’t appear there, go to the directory of this program, take ownership and delete all contents. Next, open registry to search related keywords, delete all registry values about this programs.

    After this, full screen with Windows Defender.
