Use web API with login, password and key RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi.

I am new both to Power Query and APIs.  My accounting software provider is giving an example of how to use their API, which I copy below.  Could you please help me how to make a query in Power Query with this?

I am guessing that somewhere I can input manually all of these parameters, but can't figure out where.  When I try using the wizzard for "From Web" I don't get far.

    Many thanks.

  • Hi gorkas69. Something like the following should work:

    = Web.Contents("http://myaccountingsoftware.com/requestPath", [Content="<?xml version=""1.0"" encoding=""utf-8""?> <request> <login username=""myusername"" md5pass=""aa78d8..."" token=""DE37..."" /> etc."])
