Group Policy Settings for WSUS updates Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hopefully this is the correct forum to ask the following...

We seem to be have alot of incidents where Windows updates are being applied to users Windows 10 machines and the machines are rebooting straight away despite Group Policy settings stating that they should only be rebooted outside of Active Hours.

We previously had deadlines set on the WSUS server, but have since removed them as it seems they can sometimes cause rebooting issues.

Anyone else seeing similar issues? We don't use the [No auto-restart with logged on users for scheduled automatic updates installations] option as research like the following link seems to suggest that it doesn't always work https://partnersupport.microsoft.com/en-us/par_servplat/forum/par_winserv/control-windows-update-reboots/f35bb3bb-540c-46ec-9066-2e891bd63095

Below is the Group Policy settings we use:

    Thanks
