Dependent choice/lookup fields on listitem

Question
-
Is it possible (without programming) to have fields in listitems that show different choices based on a selection in another field in the same listitem?
As an example: If I have a catogory field, I want the topic field to display different possible values depending on which category is chosen.
So, what I'm looking after, is if this is some straight forward out-of-the-box functionality or not.
I'm using MOSS/WSS 2007.

Hi,
this is not possible OOTB in MOSS 2007.
Either you can use third party tool from - http://store.bamboosolutions.com/ps-75-5-sharepoint-custom-column-pack.aspx
or you can create your own custom code to achieve this.

You can also try some JQUERY base solution ... like this
