Impossible to activate IE11 Enterprise mode on Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello everybody,

With late, I have just discovered the IE11 Enterprise mode.

In order to test it, I created an OU or I applied two GPO for enable IE Enterprise mode.

On the target computer, I see that the GPO has enable, again, if I look in the registry, I found two key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\EnterpriseMode

When i launch Internet Explorer, if I go to "Tools" I can not find mode "Enterprise". Also, if I go to the site on the list, none works in compatibility mode

Any idea where I could sin? I have install the update KB2929437 thinking it was because of that, but it's not better If you have ideas / solutions.

    Thanks

  • Hello Mike.Steve,

What two group policy do you applied?

Please take a look at the following article about Internet Explorer Enterprise mode.
    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn640699.aspx
    1. Download and install Enterprise Mode Site List Manager
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42501
    2. Add the URL you want to use in Enterprise mode, and save as xml file.
    3. Use the group policy Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Use the Enterprise Mode IE website list to turn on Enterprise mode.

And the following screenshot is the result.

The Document mode of the website is changed to 7.
