Lync compatible speaker or strobe light

Question
-
I am looking for a Lync compatible ceiling speaker or strobe light that would audibly or visually notify people of a ringing Lync phone in a very noisy environment. I have found some SIP compatible devices, but nothing that mentions Lync.
Has anyone here had any experience with such a device?

You could probably run it on a very small thin client style PC if its only for a ring alert.
I don't know of anything network attached that will do this, unless you want to use something like a snom 300 and get your soldering kit out.
Snom also have loud speakers but I think they are for tannoy, not ringing, and are not certified.

Have you seen the BusyLight: http://www.busylight.com/busylight-lync.html/ Not exactly what you are looking for, but same premise.

Yes I have. Unfortunately that would not work as it requires being plugged into a computer. This would be for a pod in a datacenter where people walk in and out of to work on servers, but are not sitting at computers signed into Lync.Friday, July 27, 2012 1:56 PM
