How to configure connection server AD/DC to website hosting?

  • Hi, i need to learn how to configure connection in server 2008R2, if i have domain.com on server AD (Active Directory) / DC (Domain Control)  but our website in server hosting the name is same with the server AD/DC. For exmaple :

    - AD/DC server : teting.com (IP.172.1.1.4)

    - Server Hosting : www.testing.com (IP 49.80.12.12)

    Our problem, if the user in AD/DC browse our website www.testing.com always drop/no connection. Cause the connection always to testing.com. Can anyone help me?

  • Hi,
    Please check if there is A record of www in the DNS pointing to the IP address of website. If no, you need add it manually.
    In addition, we would not suggest that website has a same name with domain, in my experience, this may cause some problems.

    I've tried add A recored of www manually, but the problem is still not resolved.

    Is there any other way i can do it?

  • you can add the server in the host-list on the client computer.<o:p></o:p>

    But I think this is not the way to do that. The better way is to figure out why the A-Record gets not resolved properly.
