One way audio call in MOC RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All, I am experiencing the following issue:

Issue details: User is logged into MOC and Polycom CX 700 Deskphone.When he receive internal/external calls

Scenario1: User uses the OCS handset,-one-way audio is  heard.Recipient can hear audio from external caller, but ext caller can't hear from receipient.

Scenario 2: Polycom CX700 logon. Called answered by Polycom CX700 IP Phone. Conversation successful.
    2-way audio heard.  Scenario 3:
Polycom CX700 log OFF. Called answered by OCS headset - Conversation successful. 2-way audio heard.

Environment Details: OCS 2007 R2 Std Version

    Client: MOC : Communicator R2 (3.5.6907.253)

Deskphone: Polycom CX 700 (Office Communicator Phone Edition phone )

    Voice Gateway: NetVX1200

From the netvx gateway log, we found that the vxgate gateway is passing the call properly to the endpoints (Polycom/OCS).

It's MOC that is not providing 2 way audio converstaion. Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Imrul

  • How are these devices connected to each other and the PC? Is the CX700 connected to the PC at the same time as the handset? If the devices are connected to the PC what is the preferred device configured in Lync?

  • Hi There,Thanks for the reply.I tried both way- polycom connected to the PC via USB and Polycom connected to separate network connection. Neither of these worked. What log can be handy to get more information about this issue? I will try to capture the OCS server log using the Logging Tool. Regards, Imrul

  • Hi Sean,

We don't have any mediation server. The call route is:

PSTN--->NetVX Gateway---->OCS 2007 R2---->Exchange 2010 UM. Internal   MOC to MOC calls are managed by the FrontEnd server.

  • Hi,

Are you sure you don't deploy mediation server?

The ocs mediation server is needed for outbounding calls to PSTN end.

  • Hi Sean, We are using net VX gateway which also acts as IP PBX. OCS server talks with the NetVX to route external calls . Regards, Imrul
