Clients can't add language packs because of WSUS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

can anybody tell me if there is a possibilty for clients to add language packs through the WSUS.

Before I activated the WSUS the clients could just add language packs they only needed to enter the admin user and password.

Since i activated WSUS the clients get the message "A language pack isn't available" in the language options, if they want to add a new language.

Is there anyway to add language packs through the WSUS without modifying the registry key of the clients or using a dism command?

The clients have all Windows 10 installed.

I appreciate any help you can give me

    Thanks

  • I know what the problem was. I had to check "Updates" and "Windows 10 Language Interface Packs" in the "Products and Classifications" settings. Now it works fine thanks for your answer.

  • To add to this, in the case above, the Italian Language pack must be approved in WSUS for this to work. If the Language pack is NOT approved, you will be able to add the language pack for writing in Italian, but the display will stay English. If you wanted to load the Language Interface Pack, you have to click on the Language (Italian), Options, Download Language pack. This will get it from the WSUS Server and load the language interface pack into Windows.
