an hour or two - it all goes away.
If i turn off Skype before, then some skype.exe process still working and takes 13 %. I think this process responsible for updates.

Skype was not designed to run on Windows Server, nor is it a supported product on Windows Server. It is a consumer-oriented, client application. I doubt that anyone has done any sort of performance work since it is not a supported application. I searched TechNet for any other references to Skype - you are in a pretty small group of people who are trying this. You are asking for a fix. But who knows that it is even broken?

Skype uses around 100MB. Dont start it, if you are not using it - only solution, I think.Thursday, January 16, 2014 10:01 PM

Did the Microsoft Developer team tell you it was broken? If you talked with them, why did you come here for a 'fix'?
I will admit my question was a little obtuse. Since you were asking "How i can to fix it?", I was asking you what made you think it was broken. Just because it does not run the way you want it to run when running it in an unsupported environment does not imply that it is broken. This is a Windows Server 2012 forum. Skype is not a part of Windows Server 2012, nor is a supported application for running on Windows Server 2012. If you think there is a problem with Skype, you should take it up with Skype. http://support.skype.com

Hi Tim Cerling,
First of all, skype software is not recommended for Servers. :).
You can try the below tips to resolve this issue.
1. Please stop any and all running Skype Client programs on your system.
2. Using your Windows Control Panel Add/Remove Programs uninstall Skype, when prompted to save your history, choose yes.
3. Using Windows File Explorer ("What you use to view files with") do:
%appdata%\skype
If you find a file called shared.xml right click on it and choose delete.
4. If you see a folder for the Skype name in question, click on it, if you see a file called Config.xml right click on it and choose delete.
5. Using the Windows file Explorer enter:
%programfiles%
Right click on the Skype folder and choose delete.
6. Please install the normal version using the instructions below:
You can install the current normal release by doing this from the top of this page:
Get Skype -> Windows -> Choose the normal release.
These instructions have worked for many and is the quickest thing to try to resolve issues such as this.
Also, what operating system are you on and do you have all Windows updates and updates to any hardware devices by the manufacturers?
