Offiice 2007 Proofing Tools

    Question

  • Hi,

    I need to silently install the Offiice 2007 Proofing Tools. Here is my custom.xml file which loads, but does not install. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with it? Thanks.

  • Hi, you should enable logging to troubleshoot the issue.

    Could you enable and change the following line:

    <!-- <Logging Type="standard" Path="%temp%" Template="Microsoft Office Proofing Tools Kit Setup(*).txt" /> -->
    to

    <Logging Type="verbose" Path="%temp%" Template="Microsoft Office Proofing Tools Kit Setup(*).txt" />

    Then run the install again, locate the logging file in %temp% and paste the first 100 lines here. Then we can clearly see what the setup is doing.

    Regards,

    Martin

  • you need to add this at the end of the XML files:

    here i have 6 languages to install

    <Configuration Product="your product name">
    .....

    ....

    .....

    <AddLanguage Id="en-us" ShellTransform="yes"/> <AddLanguage Id="he-il" /> <AddLanguage Id="de-de" /> <AddLanguage Id="es-es" /> <AddLanguage Id="ru-ru" /> <AddLanguage Id="fr-fr" />

    </Configuration>
