DFS Replication Permission Issue RRS feed

  • I have configured DFS Namespace and DFS replication. and i have publish it. inside replication folder i have configured map drive using specific user or group permission to access those folder and assign map drive.

    But the thing is, the publish network path from DFS replication is all accessible to all user. How can i restrict this. For example: //abc.com/fs/fileserver

    this location accessible to all also inside folder also

    Please suggest.

  • Hi,

    You can change the NTFS permissions for the namespace by changing the permissions on the folder in the DFSRoots folder. By default, the DFSRoots folder is located in C:\DFSRoots. Please see the screenshot below:
