O365 Web Site Hosting Question

    Question

  • One of my clients has there web site hosted by Microsoft with there Office 365.  They will be moving the hosting the start of the year, but in the mean time, would like domain.com to work in bringing there website up, not sure www.domain.com.  What is needed to set Office365 web hosting to handle the domain.com URL not just the www.domain.com URL?

    Thank you for your input

  • To the best of my knowledge what you are requesting can't be done.  To verify that I would open a support case to request the change.  If I'm right they will tell you its not possible.

Even the public website (which has been deprecated and is no longer available in anything other than legacy tenants) is part of a multi-tenant environment.  What you are requesting normally requires access to the server which isn't possible in a multi-tenant environment.
