  • Question

  • I use MSE on my Win 7 (64 bit) and Vista (32 bit) computers.

How long will I be able to use MSE on these two computers? Someone said that MS will end support for MSE in 2015. Is that correct? If now, how long will MS support MSE on my Win7 and on my Vista?

Or should I be looking for an alternate AV program for each computer? Thank you.

  • Hi Alice,

Yes, there is no news that indicates Microsoft will cease supporting Microsoft Security Essentials.

Official information explains Microsoft Security Essentials is no longer available for Windows XP. It's still available for Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
