  • Hi!

Are you doing an upgrade or installing a fresh installation?

On what operating system are you trying to install your Exchange Server 2016?

    Best regards,
    Leon

  • Hi Pradeep_Mishra365,

Open Active Directory Domains and Trusts, then right-click on Active Directory Domains and Trusts, choose Raise Forest Function Level.

When you install Exchange 2016 high then CU2, then Forest functional level must at least Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Regards,

    Kyle Xu

  • Hi,

What do you mean "it showing failed", could you provide the detail information. I you cannot raise Forest functional level to Windows Server 2008 R2, you will cannot install Exchange 2016 package.

    Kyle Xu

  • Hi Support,

I am installing exchange 2016 on server 2012 r2 then getting the error message.

    Error message:

There was a problem accessing the registry on this computer. This may happen if
the Remote Registry service isn't running. It may also indicate a network
problem or that the TCP/IP Netbios Helper service isn't running.
