IE11 with Windows10 - Developer Tools memory leak RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are experiencing a memory leak with Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 10. This does not happen on Windows 8 or Windows 7.

When we develop we keep our developer tools open to see if errors come into the console. For every request that is executed we see in Task Manager that the iexplore process of the Developer Toolbar takes more and more memory. After a while we see that javascript isn't interpreted correct anymore. Fields in forms are not recognized anymore and we get javascript errors.

When we restart Internet Explorer, we do not get the javascript errors anymore. Very frustrating when developing web applications like this.

Also, when we close the Developer Tools window, the iexplore process which started for the Developer Tools window is not stopped and sits there using a large amount of memory.

Is this a known issue for IE11 with Windows 10 ?
