  • Hi Team, I am deploying SCCM 2012, the agent push done. I can see the HW information from resource explorer. but the software tabs are all blank ,including last scan software, product details.etc. I have added the AI role on this Server. All roles in it except the reporting service role which is on a remote SQL server . Any advice please? thanks

  • Software Inventory is configured not to look for any files by default. You have to modify the default client settings or create some custom client settings where you configure software inventory.

  • I concur with Kent although I would not recommend adding anything to software inventory unless you explicitly need information about a specific file. In past incarnations of ConfigMgr and SMS, SW Inv by default collected information about every exe on a system. This was very mis-leading because the existance of an exe does not mean that the software is actually installed. If you are interested in true software Inv, you should be using Asset Intelligence: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg699382
