Help with SAP ECC6 on MIM 2016 Web Services Connector failing to make .wsconfig file RRS feed

  • Question

  • When I run the discovery tool I am getting the following error

    What's weird is it completely reads the .WSDL file and returns all the info you would expect, then I get this error.

    In the WSDL this is what I see as configured by the only binding in the service

    <sp:TransportBinding xmlns:wsu="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2002/07/utility" xmlns:wsx="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/09/mex" xmlns:wst="http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-sx/ws-trust/200512" xmlns:wsa="http://www.w3.org/2005/08/addressing" xmlns:sapsp="http://www.sap.com/webas/630/soap/features/security/policy" xmlns:sp="http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-sx/ws-securitypolicy/200702">
    <wsp:Policy>
    <sp:TransportToken>
    <wsp:Policy>
    <sp:HttpsToken>
    <wsp:Policy>
    <sp:HttpBasicAuthentication/>
    </wsp:Policy>
    </sp:HttpsToken>
    </wsp:Policy>
    </sp:TransportToken>
    <sp:AlgorithmSuite>
    <wsp:Policy>
    <sp:Basic128Rsa15/>
    </wsp:Policy>
    </sp:AlgorithmSuite>
    <sp:Layout>
    <wsp:Policy>
    <sp:Strict/>
    </wsp:Policy>
    </sp:Layout>
    </wsp:Policy>
    </sp:TransportBinding>

    Has anyone ever seen this before?

  • What version of Web Services connector you use ?

    As far as I remember web services connector doesn't like "/security/policy" parts in the binding.

    Hope you followed the steps in "Connector for SAP.docx" (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29943). Please Double check them.

  • What it boiled down to was the WSDL settings changed in the UI vs. what was in the documentation.  There is not a page called WSDL flavor that we had to try 4 or 5 different combinations to get it to work.  The main thing is to remove all the SAP specific extensions and use standard where available.  Also we had an issue that every time we made a change to this page it changed the end-point URL.
