Urgent help required please.Project Server 2010- CU update has resulted in Views disappearing from the Reporting database. RRS feed

  • Question

  • April 2012 cu has resulted in the view "EPMProjectOwner_OlapView" disappearing from the Reporting database. This has deeply impacted all Reports using this view.

Will Rebuilding the Reporting database solve the problem?

    Any other possible solutions?

With CU's and SP's this is a always a risk for custom views and tables created directly in the reporting databases. It would be helpful if you create a mirror copy of reporting database and have your customization done on this database.

No rebuilding reporting database won't restore customize views. Unfortunately you need to re-create those custom views in the existing database or

Create copy of existing reporting database, restore old copy of reporting database and using SQL methods copy your custom views from one database to another. Later make sure that you configure sync between production reporting database and copy of reporting database
