Exchange Mail Contact Forwarding RRS feed

  • In my network organization, I have users who have both an email address for our company, and another for a separate company.  I have created a few exchange mail contacts for the external addresses, and have set up forwarding to the exchange contact within their mail flow settings.  However, when i try to send them messages to the external address, i get an internal bounce message saying that it cannot find specific user.  but if i send to their company address, it forwards properly.

    specific exchange error: #550 5.1.1 RESOLVER.ADR.ExRecipNotFound; not found ##

  • Hi Jig,

    The problem might be LegacyExchangeDN is missing from mail contact.

    Please try this:

    Add the legacyExchangeDN attribute to mail contact by running Get-MailContact "user" | Update-recipient.
