Word 2013 Text Duplication RRS feed

  • Question

  • All text in my word 2013 document has been duplicated multiple times. This just appeared between closing the document and re-opening (see screenshot).

Does anyone know of a way to put the text back to normal, and maybe even what has caused this?

Answers

  • Just occurred with the one document.

It would be a v important 50 page document that I have been writing for 2 weeks.

I ditched it in the and, and re-wrote it.

  • Hi,

I would suggest to try Word safe mode.

And save the file to Word 97-2003 document type.

    Best regards,

  • Does the problem occur with only one document, or with any document you open in Word?

  • In the future, you may want to try repairing the document before discarding it (especially a long document). Deleting section breaks and then copying the content, minus the final paragraph mark (¶), into a newly created document is worth trying. More on document corruption can be found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918429/en-us (How to troubleshoot damaged documents in Word 2007 and in Word 2010), even though the article wasn't written specifically for Word 2013.
