My headers are not printed correctly. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, I have a problem with printing my document that contains headers and footers as presented in the following figure:

When I print the document, the footers are printed correctly, but the headers are missing there line that is under the title, 'Chapter 4' in the above picture.

    How can I fix that?

Thank you so much in advance.

    Best regards,

    Aya.

  • Your printer or print driver software is what is causing this. If this heading is supposed to print in color, make sure your printer is not out of that color or that the brushes on the ink cartridges are not dirty.

Also make sure there's no setting on the printer that might be causing this. Check with the manufacturer is there is a new software driver available.

Do you have another printer where you could send the document and print?

  • Is the Font marked as Hidden?

To check... Right click on it and choose "Font..." See if the hidden attribute is set.

  • Does it show in Print Preview? If it does, it's not Word that's causing it.
