Project 2013 - External user access - What licenses required? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

We have a Project Server 2010 environment that we are upgrading to Project Server 2013 running on top of SharePoint Server 2013.

We have a about a dozen external users (our customers), that require access to the Project Server 2013 environment.

How do we correctly license these users?

Because of the new licensing rules regarding SPS 2013 (no more license required for external users), we are confused how this will translate to Project Server 2013.

Do we only require Project Server CALs for these external users (so they can use PWA)? Or do we need SPS, SQL, Windows & Project Server CAL as it was in the past?

Anyone has an answer to this?

    Thanks!

    Jurgen

  • So to be crystal clear, there is no change in license requirements for external users at all?
