    How do I change the speaker profile, it is not in control panel and in windows media is an option that does not allow to be change.

    I think you need to change it in sound management program, which should be provided by sound card manufacturer.

    No that is not the case, you select the kind of speaker configuration "5.1, or other", but not the profile that is the brand and model number of the actual speakers, it was always  define in control panel, but that option was remove in windows 7 and need to be added back.
