context menus appear for no reason in Windows 7 RRS feed

  • Question

  • For some bizarre reason, my computer has suddenly started to spit context menus at random and frequent times without a right click on the mouse (like right now and typing when one appears can trigger the opening of a new window, but mostly just prevents typing) . It is happening several times a minute now, and driving me crazier. Anyone else ever have this problem? If so, any way of fixing, debugging or doing any darn thing to stop it before I shoot the monitor? Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • This sounds like a hardware problem. If you unplug the mouse *and* keyboard do the context menus still appear?
