Using local workstation as a client RRS feed

  • I need to use my local workstation as a client while my virtual machine is running the SharePoint server. But I don't know how to make the connection. Could you please help?

    As Paul described your question is not complete, with respect to Project Server, since you have posted this question here.

    But based on your description, looks like you need to access SharePoint Site from your host system installed on Virtual machine. If so then install another Network adapter like Microsoft Loop back on host machine and assign IP from similar range as Virtual Machine. Using "Ping" command test the connection, if needed disable Windows Firewall on Virtual machine. If Ping is successful, add host enter on your host computer by editing C:\windows\System32\drivers\etc , hosts file with IP and server name. Once again test PING using server name. If you get successful response you are good to go
