Hide address bar in IE10 but keep tabs visible RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible?

    I need address bar  gone but still need the tabs to be visible. NoNavBar includes the tabs so that's no good. I could do this in IE8 but I don't want to downgrade

  • Hi,

    As I known, it's designed by default, and we cannot only hide address bar.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    I think there was a security update years ago which did away with "chromeless windows" because users were getting confused by the exploits that were possible with them.  Less likelihood of being duped by a window which is still obviously a browser window than when one is allowed to look like some other windows dialog.

    (Microsoft search for
        chromeless window
    )

    Also Quero Toolbar can do some unusual things.  I don't know if suppressing the Address bar is one of them but source is available, so you might find out by trying to do it for yourself.
