I'm done with the beta 2 Vista, and want to back up to DVD. Got a nice "ultra high speed" burner, but only 16x DVD-R (not RW) DVDs.
Nowhere have I heard the question asked, how do I slow down the DVD write speed under Vista? The complete PC backup is what I want to do, not just the files. I use the backup utility in the control panel of the beta. It works just fine for hard drives, but messes up badly with writing DVDs. Note: I got the beta on DVDrom from microsoft bacause I couldn't burn anything but CDs on this old Dell. So I bought a reader, installed (no problems, dude) and then the burner. But it won't write right. help?
