Using Power Query with a FoxPro database? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am just starting to explore the PowerBI suite of solutions for a work project I have just started.

What I am keen to know from the outset is whether it is possible to use a Visual FoxPro database as a datasource for Power Query?

    Thanks

  • Most VFP files can be pulled in using the ODBC capability in Power query.   The only issue I've found is with auto incrementing fields we get a 'not a table" message.    This can be worked around in Excel using the data function and the OLE DB driver but I have not spent enough time on it to figure out how to use the OLE driver in Power query.
