Perform search within a document in MOSS 2007 RRS feed

    I have a Collaboration site collection created by me. I have a few set of documents(preferably word docs) in the document library. Using default search functionality I am able to search for documents by title( and also by metedata in advanced search page). But as per client requirement they want search functionality to search words within document also.Can anyone help me out with this?

    Hi

    If you added your documents recently , then I suggest do increamental crawl of your content site once

    Hi Jacky

    This functionality is already present in the Sharepoint. Standard Sharepoint search will search inside the document. SharePoint only searches the following content types: .txt, .htm, .doc, .xls, and .ppt

    But I have few set of documents with contents in it but when I search for content then search results is not returning any documents. Please let me know whats needs to be configured.

    I have created a custom scope with rule isDocument=1 to return only documents for particular content source.

    Hi Tamara,

    The document types in the library are word docs i.e. .doc file extension.

    I really want to know if I can search within the document content.
