Is there an exchange log that would show when a particular emails were opened by the client? RRS feed

  • I need to know when a particular email item was open by the Outlook client. We have Exchagne 2007 with Outlook 2007. Thanks everyone for your help.

  • It is possible if you run at least Exchange 2007 w/ SP2 and turn on auditing.

    To meet your requirement, you would have to turn on Message Access Auditing with logging level 5 (UserA-UserA..) events.

    This will work for future events, but if you need a history before turning it on, I don't think that is possible.

    Thank you very much for the information. What you said sounds logical to me. So if we did not already have message access autiting turned on we can't get this type of data? Correct?
